am i to hot,to fast .to slow ,heat not set rods damp this only on flat fillets can get fine up hill. lot of splater on flat stuck on tight . thank s from mo. jack

jack, usually berries indicate too hot but arc blow will leave some berries too.
if you are not too hot, try moving the ground clamp close to the weld to get rid of the arc blow.
welding with ac current also gets rid of arc blow but if you are in school, or taking a test, you probably will have to stay with dc .
