after welding for 1 min i stop and can not restart arc

when i first start welding flux i have no problem if i stop and check my work i can not start a arc for quite a while how come i have a 125 lincoln i have a 30 amp feed w/10/3 wire to the breaker.i am confused and frustrated....

It kind of sounds like the machine is oveheating or at least the temp sensor thinks its overheating.

if you set up a fan blowing on your welder and it gets better, that might tell you something.
