Beginner questions

Sup guys, my name is Rossi. I'm an apprentice sheetmetal worker with easy questions. I just bought a Lincoln pack welder 125hd and I want to do projects around the house to get my skills up. I want to make a custom bicycle and want to weld things on a bike frame. The thing is I don't know what Gage the bike frame is. How do I determine the amp and speed since the chart measures in sheet Gage not a tube. It's a simple question yet I don't want to waste wire trying to figure it. Same question goes for making tables from scrap metal at the junk yard, I just want to use this thing but the chart doesn't show you what you what settings for small projects like these. Your site is very informing by the way.
