Clean up edge frost

I know how to change my settings on my Powermaster 205 to reduce cleaning action on AC aluminum welding but I am wondering about after the damage has been done and there is too much of a frosted look to the edges close to the weld area, Is there a way to clean this white frosting up after welding?

I have found that scotch brite and mineral spirits gives a nice matte finish...

a stainless wire brush can work too..
