Embedded in China

I have been using a Shanhai Soyi NBC 250T now for about 2 years. Since I work here in China, I really had no choice but to buy a machine manufactured here. It works great, has IGBT's and several adjustments for arc characteristics( not really sure what they do...). There is one peculiar thing, there is no wire feed adjustment and the volts and amps can be changed independently. I have trial and errored it to get the best performance though.

Found it! NEW

Yes I tried the amps setting at it did increase the wire speed. I had a colleague translate the Chinese wording on the knobs under the Volts and Amps knobs and they are CLOSED ARC AMPERAGE and CLOSED ARC VOLTAGE. Near as I can tell, they allow a certain percentage of the forementioned parameters. Thoughts anyone?

Amps and wire speed NEW

Wire feed is directly related to amps so they just have an amp nob sometimes. The higher the wire speed the higher the amps.

I am Cheyenne http://www.unionboilermakers.com/ and I thought the arc characteristics had to do with volts the push behind the amps?
