ever had problems getting amperage for different rods?

just remember the thinner rods (6011) the amperage is lower, like 95-115, for much thicker rods(7024) the amperage is higher, like 145-165.

good point, the extra iron powder in the flux of a 7024 goes into the weld too,..requiring more amperage even though the electrode diameter is the same.
