can flux core welder weld steel tubing? for a roll cage?

there is no reason why flux core would not work on a roll cage. the question is whether the machine has enough power, and the welder has the skill needed to make a sound weld.
some practice on similar pipe joints would tell the tale. especially if put to the test with a big hammer.
