Flux core welding on half inch steel plate and pipe

What are some of the common machine settings for Flux core on half inch steel pipe and plate in all positions?

i find the weld calculator above to provide a pretty good starting point for flux core welding settings.

you will most likely need to make adjustments to the wire speed.

Most of the time, I find the miller recommended wire speed is a bit high for my preference...but it is still a pretty decent starting point

The settings are based on welds in flat and horizontal so if its too hot for a vertical uphill weld, just pick a thinner metal from the selector and use those settings...and trim wire speed until you get the results you want.
