I haven't been able to get very far with TIGing aluminum. I had to finish a tranny adapter for my floor jack and was able to fool around with the pre-flow/post flow and up/down slope which I wasn't familiar with. The Everlast 225 LX seems to have all the whistles buttons. I can't make heads or tails out of the instruction sheet that came with the unit so I'm playing it by ear.
I guess I should get a Basic "How to TIG Aluminum' book and learn both the terminology and settings. I'm not familiar with the AC frequency settings or for cleaning vs penetration/AC balance and what direction to turn the dial.
I'm using straight Argon because most everything I do is SS/DCEN.
I'd appreciate any help and direction you can give me.
