i need some help

hello i currently take welding classes and i was wondering cuz my instructor doesnt let us weld with mig on 1/4 inch think its more of like 1/8 inch think,what is the best tech, wire speed,volt to complete an uphill bead on this metal?

with .035" er70s6 wire , an uphill pass on 1/8 can be done at around 18 volts and 200 ipm
