GREAT WELDING JOBS!! by: J.W. STOLL JR.
after sixteen years of making numerous iron shop owners and steel erecting company's a hell of a lot of money i decided to take the civil service route. well, it's been twenty two years and i haven't regretted a second! i'm a maint. welder in a large prison in new york city. i build everything from the bars and gates to fixing stainless steel kitchen equipment. it's a union job and i never get rained or snowed out. if a man has to go to work every day this is the place to do it. i'm embarrassed to say how much i made last year. in times of economic turmoil the prison industry is booming! to any welders thinking about hanging up his (or her) stinger~ do yourself a favor and look into this. the highway, transit and public works departments of all major cities need and use welding!!
