Longevity-Inc 200DX TIG Runner
I have been researching Chinese AC/DC TIG welders for about a year, I finally decided on Longevity-Inc 200DX AC/DC Pulse unit. I wanted to upgrade a DC TIG Inverter I have been using for several years. I ordered the TIG runner System: 200DX, water cooler and cart.

The Good: Longevity-Inc offered an additional 20% off as a holiday promotion.

The Bad: They only shipped the 200DX welder, they never informed me after I paid in full, the water cooler was not available, also they substituted the water cooled torch with an air cooled torch(which arrived with the head bent, not usable).
The cart shipped on a different day and is lost in shipping, I found this out yesterday, 2 weeks after the items were paid for and I called after only receiving the welder. The water cooler they said they will ship when available ?? and they will look into the damaged torch, (I sent detailed pictures of the damage.) No communication after they charged my credit card at all!

I read a lot of posts about these internet company sales practices; no reciepts, no email confirmation of order etc.. All 100% true with Longevity-Inc. I went with Longevity-Inc after reading (on their website) they will be selling their products through AirGas, I have been a long time customer of AirGas, I don't think AirGas will keep them as a vendor for long...

When and if Longevity-Inc corrects this order I will post a review of the welder. The old saying is ringing in my ears "You get what you pay for" I didn't even get that!

Looks Good on Paper NEW

It is very unfortunate that the two west coast inverter TIG companies can't seem to get the products that they offer out to the customer. The description/features/prices look good on paper, but they don't have very good follow through.
I tried one other company Lotos Welders, I took a risk and purchased an "open box" Lotos LTAC2500 TIG AC/DC 200A 220VAC Inverter unit for a 1/3 of the cost. The machine I received was brand new, unopened (??). I added a used Coolmate V3 and a WP20 torch, still at less than their price. The Lotos machine has worked great, I use it mainly for aluminum repair work a couple hrs a week runtime for the past 24 months.
Next time I think I will spend the extra money to save on frustration and buy a blue machine locally.

I'm in about the same boat, I received the first welder with the box torn open, a lot of parts missing and the welder damaged. Called and told them the problem, they blamed UPS and said they would send another one. Well I received another one which took another 3 weeks, and it was in worse shape than the first. Still missing some of the same parts that the first one was and paint peeling off of the bottom because they painted over a lot of rust. They said they would include longer leads with this last welder, which didn't happen. I just sent them back yesterday and they said they would sent the new leads with the parts that I was missing. When I called back to check on things, they said they didn't have everything and was checking with the warehouse to see what they were able to ship and would call me back in an hour, its past 2 hours and still nothing and the line is busy when I try calling. Good luck on buying any thing from this so called company.

Thanks for relaying your story. Mr. K's response - too little and too late - and apparently only after stumbling on bad PR on this site - reveals how little they care for the little guy. I was about to hit the "confirm order key" and you stopped me just in time.

Longevity Inc:

The partial shipment I did recieve was returned in March 2012, my application required a water cooled torch.

Longevity Inc was not able to provide a water cooler only the power source and cart. Simon K did eventually refund my original purchase price.

We do not actively monitor the forums here but any issues with shipping or whatever i want to make sure are corrected and customers know that they can reach me direct if anyone at our company does not meet their level of expectations.

Paul was taken care of either with a refund it another unit.

There are loss of brands out there from the Chinese makers but there is a reason we are a leading choice.

I have been researching the Chinese-based companies, and your review of Longevity's performance (and a follow up from Simon half a year later) is alarming.

Thanks for the heads-up and taking one for the team, I will reluctantly steer clear from this brand.

Longevity Inc Sales called me to let me know the rest of the parts of the welding system I purchased and paid for in December won't ship for at least another month.
I do not know why they even processed my order, if it was not to loose a sale; The bad press alone should cost them several orders! What were they thinking?

Follow up on Longevity Inc
200DX TIG Runner Pkg.

It has been 33 days since I paid for the welder which was listed as in stock. All requests for an update as to the water cooler ship date have been ignored!
I did receive the WP-20 torch a week ago, they shipped it out with out any torch parts. I guess I have to buy the collets, nozzles etc...

Never again with Longevity Inc! So far they are the worst company I have ever dealt with for welding equipment!

All I can hope for is the unit works, I can not imagine warranty service after this BAD experience with sales.
I am starting to think about calling my credit card company to dispute the charges!
