Opinion on Miller or Everlast tig machines

by Antonio
(New jersey)

I’ve been welding since I was 13 years old, I learned the trade from my grandpa, who was a welder his whole life. I've done a lot of stick and mig welding and now I want to get in to a TIG machine for occasional fab work. But I don't have tons of money to spend on a machine; I want something that’s going to be reliable and not wasting money on. I was looking at buying a Miller diversion 165 or an Everlast PowerTig 200DX or Everlast PowerTig 185 Micro. I’m kind skeptical about the Everlast machine because they are made in China.

Do you feel like the Everlast is a well-built machine that will hold up? What do you think about the Miller diversion 165? Thanks for the great videos and website.

Coincidentally, I have been evaluating both the Diversion 180 and the Everlast 185 micro.

The video and page should be up soon.

How durable? who knows?

But both machines gave each other a good run and I would be ok welding with either.
