Overhead safety

by Dustin
(LA, Florida)

If you do a lot of overhead work with stick, MIG ect then you've probably had your arms burned a few times. Sometimes the green jacket itself isn't enough. Get your really old worn out pair of jeans and cut out some of the fabric from the legs and sew it onto the top of your sleeves. Your other options would be to get the slip-on canvas welding sleeves and wear those with the jacket. Or get the leather jacket; but they can be uncomfortable if you've got to keep your arms up over your head all day. I've found that I can make my jacket last a little longer by sewing denim or extra canvas on the sleeves.
