Dwayne, Go to your local welding supply & purchase a #10 or # 12, actually try to get each if you can afford, a#6,7,8- thru 12 gas lens and gas lens cups. Use a 3/32" 2% thoriated tungsten if your welding on carbon or stainless material. This tungsten won't work on aluminum, thats a chapter for another time !!!!! If you are buying the argon ask for a 85 - 15 mix and set your CFM's @ about 20 to 30. If the job or school is buying set the CFM's @ 30 to 45. Take your tungsten and put it about 1/8" past the end of the gas cup.Pick your own angle that works for you. No two people weld alike. Adjust your heat accordingly up or down and adjust your tungsten in or out accordingly. Then if your still getting undercut, turn your machine up and add more wire. If your too cold you will cold lap-turn heat up or if your too hot you will undercut. There is a procedure call "Walking the cup" you will need to learn. I don't know how to explain it, but it is the same way you would move a refrigerator by yourself. See if this helps you and good luck @ practice, practice. I've 65 and been welding for 47 yrs. and still learning.www.perform53.com or perform53@gmail.com Skip
