Protect your tig Torch

Go to your nearest golf shop (or Wally World) and purchase a set of neoprene (Wet Suit Material) golf club covers. They fit a tig torch nicely, are fairly heat resistant and if you drop your tig torch or it is knocked or dragged off of your welding table its more likely to bounce than to break the cup. (Works really well)

That is a good idea. Here is a low budget tip that protects tig cup also. Find a scap piece of rubber air hose that will slip over the cup snuggly. Cut air hose approximately 1" longer than cup. This will protect the cup & the tungsten point as well.
