This size of jet is mostly an exercise in construction. It makes about 2 to 2.5 lbs of thrust. Not enough to lug around the propane tank. There are larger models that are used for propulsion such as bikes, gokarts, small boats and, if set up to use liquid fuels, small aircraft and copters. There is a lot of room for experimentation with different shapes, thrust augmenters, fuel types not to mention size. This was a fun project and I am going to try another one of a different design as soon as I get some proficiency in TIG welding. The bigger models need to be made out of stainless and the materials are much more costly. Thanks for asking.
