starting out

I am just starting to learn how to weld and my shop teacher says that i am very good at it.
the only problem is we moved on in class.

any good places that i might be able to practice besides at my house?

enrolling in a local tech college under a certificate program is usually the best option.

Another option is to try to get a part time job welding....something simple and well within your capability so that you can get some real experience and get paid.

its can be expensive on your own
