The over-safetifying of America

Now this really doesn't have much to do with the real reason for this subject. However, I have to laugh when some Americans start applying our own standards of ever increasing encumberments of safety, rules and regulations on the rest of the world. I already don't like the amount of restrictions I have in the society I live in. Many of us like that applying a controlled voltage and current direct to a grounded piece of metal makes it melt and fuse, throwing molten metal globules and sparks everywhere. I like that no one has told me I can't do that...yet! The trend of frivolous law suits, resulting from really stupid acts and their ridiculous awards are slowly killing the very principles that makes a man great - the ability to act and do.

Over-Safetifying? NEW
by: William Paxson

Expressing disbelief and not a little bit of outrage that some poor dumb schmuck in India is forced to work shirtless and barefoot for a dollar a day in a foundry for all god-forsaken things is not some sort of liberal whining, it's just plain sad that corporate America supports this kind of activity by buying this stuff in the first place.
