tungsten electrode for silicon bronze

what is the best electrode to use when welding silicon bronze. i will be welding 1/8" plate c655 silcon bronze with a Miller Maxstar 150 STH DC TIG

I dont think you will notice much difference in either 2% thoriated, or 2% lanthantated,

On DC , both seem to perform well.

either one is a good choice.

if you are concerned about the radioactive thorium , choose the lanthanated.

very easy to find on amazon.com but local welding supply have not caught on yet.
