let that pipe cool down enough almost to the point you can comfortable touch it b4 you make your next pass. or just tig it

There are many thing that could be going wrong.
-heat problems= too much heat,not moving fast enough,or rod angle (leaning rod so that heat stays ahead)
-landing or but gap problems= landing is to thin or gap too wide.
