WELDING TRADE TEST

I'm gonna take trade test in welding this coming week. They gave what I'm gonna take but I don't have any idea what will I do...

Here's the trade test sample "1. 2"sch. 80 carbon steel coupon, GTAW (tig) root pass and hot pass with SMAW (E7018) fill and cap., 2. 2" stainless steel coupon with GTAW (tig) to completion". Can somebody explain it to me. I am familiar with SMAW AND MIG Welding. Thank you

gtaw to completion means only tig all the way out.


root and hot pass with gtaw means first 2 passes are tig

after that stick weld fill and cap
