OK...
I posted earlier on a Chinese WSE200 which I purchased
from a company in Pomona, CA named Extreme Power.
The welder initiated a beautiful arc very easily in both AC and DC modes, but would not heat up the metal enough to form a puddle. The unit was returned and I upgraded to their WSE250 model.
I just unboxed it, plugged it in, and this thing works great. The welder is not the weak link here, it's the guy using it! I practiced for 3 hours non stop, steel, aluminum, ss.... JODY! You make it look easy!!!

Anyway, I had one little problem when I was done for the day. The on/off switch would not switch off! I called the company, and they will send me a new switch. There was a posting on here about the worry of not being able to get parts for these cheap Chinese made units.
This rep told me no problem getting parts, so I will see.

All in all, this welder will do everything I need it to do for 20% the cost of a Miller or Lincoln. That's alot of electrodes, filler rods, and gas if you ask me.

You can be a diehard Joe USA if you want and spend your hard earned $$$ on a Miller. I'll spend my hard earned $$$ on American made Miller too (beer)!

Need the PC board NEW
by: Greg

Anyone know where I can get the main PC board for this WSE-250 unit. I had it sitting on the wet ground and when I turned the power switch to ON heard a loud fire cracker sound and a little smoke ..... and I had both the TIG torch and STICK cables both attached when this happened. Second time I used this and I probably should not have had both cables connected ,... Anyways. I have looked all over the internet to find the supplier that made these or anyone who can sell me the GI-PCB-Z12-A1 board. It burnt through one of the traces on the board so I do not think it is fixable but with a new board, I will be up and running

Their Xreeam lathe lasted about 2 hours before it crapped out. Bad board. Rotten adjustments. I trashed it.

I am thinking of one of these NEW
by: dickL

looks good and is certainly priced right for what I want to do.

Does not have a foot pedal.....does it need one?

Also says it is pulse, but I don't see any controls.

Anything to add from the guys who have bought this welder??

by: Whiplash

I am looking to buy one of these from the same Pomona CA supplier, are you still happy with the purchase? Have you tried the pulse setting yet? I am looking to buy very soon and really need to know if its doing OK! Thanks!

still works! NEW
by: stevO

Yep... I'll be using it to stick weld some rails on a flatbed trailer soon... I have not used it yet for stick welding, so I will post on that in a week or so.

It doesnt have all of the slick adjustments that Jodi's videos show on his more expensive models, so that is the only downside to these welders. But for someone like me on a tight budget, it welds aluminum, steel, and stainless... all that I need it to do... just fine!!

Yes, I definitely recommend this welder if it will work for you and your projects.

Great Welder for your buck NEW
by: JoeXP

Can't go wrong with this welder. Bought one myself from this same user from Pomona, and it works great! Even though it is a Chinese welder, it works just as good as a Miller. For the price you pay for a US made welder vs this Chinese welder, it works just as good for a fraction of the price. Not all Chinese products are crap and I can recommend this welder to any user. *****
