Will a 90 amp wire welder weld exhaust pipe?

yes it will. but probably a lot better if bare wire .025" er70 type is used with 75/25 ar/co2 shielding gas and welded downhill.

that is correct, be sure not to burn through it. try welding intermediate beads all around then go back around and fill in the gaps.
