Welding Projects on the Cheap

DIY Welded Trailer Hitch Mount 5 gallon Gas Can Carrier

I was searching YouTube for videos on welding projects and stumbled on this.

This guy had a good idea.

He didn't like hauling full gas cans inside his SUV So he built a carrier for his trailer hitch using an old discarded bed frame for the angle iron to quickly fab up a 2" receiver hitch mount gas can holder. He says it took maybe 2 1/2 hours to build, and almost no money. He welded it all with an old AC Stick welder.

The cuts were made with a chop saw and a cutting disc on a 4 1/2" angle grinder.

Years ago I needed a bike carrier for my Jeep and didn't want to spend much money... So I made one.

I just used whatever was laying around and then just welded some attach points for bungy cords to hold the bikes on. It cost me about 10 bucks and worked better than any bike carrier I have had since.

You know what would be Great?

If we could get a lot of projects posted here. YouTube videos, pictures, instructions, tips...You know, Good Stuff.
