Fabricator - Contemporary Art Foundry - Walla Walla, WA

The Walla Walla Foundry is seeking an experienced fabricator. The Foundry produces contemporary fine art in bronze, aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel, as well as a variety of composite material, for internationally known artists. Job Responsibilities
• Oversee and ensure quality of art work from initiation of project to final installation.
• Assemble and finish works of art, utilizing a wide variety of power and hand tools.
• Perform welding and metal fabrication duties, with an extreme attention to detail and quality in order to avoid distortion and irregularities.
• Due to the nature of creating artwork, alternative materials may be utilized in the fabrication process, including resins, epoxies, and plasters.

Required/Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have five years experience in metal and composite metal fabrication, have the ability to read blueprints, produce and build from shop drawings, and be highly skilled in TIG welding and finishing. Must have the ability to handle multiple functions and projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment. Prior foundry, as well as computer aided design experience is a plus.
