hard to set wire speed

i have trouble to set proper wire speed. got good ground. 1/8 metal. with .035 solid wire and 75/25 gas.......no matter what i do it does not want to set good.....need help bad.......davie1973@bellsouth.net

set the wire feed to about 200 ipm..

press the trigger and count to 6 seconds.

you should get 20 inches in six seconds.

then set the voltage to get a bacon frying sound.

should be around 18-19 volts.

if you cant get it smooth, something else is wrong.
