if your reali caught out nowere near some where you can get more welding rods you can take a piece of fencing wire scrach the galvonise off with a rock or file then rap soggie news paper around the wire carfully not a whole sheet of paper just 2 or 3 times around the wire leave a bit at the end just like a normal rod leave it to dry in the sun or around a fire or however you want and your good to go.
the paper getting hot from the heat of the arc makes your co2 shroud gas like normal flux but not quite as good.
