Main problem with the 4G position is bead sag. Best way that i found to help keep your beads from saggin is turn up your heat.. I've been welding for three years now and i am currently finishing a two year associates up for welding tech.. The main thing i have been told to watch out for in the 4G position is sag.. So "crank it up to suck up that gut."

Return to Stick welding.
