i saw an add for a stick/mig machine , why both, and are they any good. thanks larry ps great site

Some of the new inverters do both stick and mig...and scratch start tig too.

quality varies but i am sure there are some good ones.
I have not had opportunity to try any of them yet.

hopefully that will change soon.

in the meanwhile, check forums for feedback on any model you are considering.
