Suck-back in tack tie in

Hello, i'm a Boilermaker and i've been practicing TIG welding for about six months. I'm getting the hang of it but I just want to ask one question. What's the best method to use to prevent suck-back and incomplete penetration when tying into the tack on the TIG root pass ?

I use a grinder to feather the tacks i tie into, but not the side of the tack weld i start on.
