X ray with mig

Can you pass x ray using a mig welder?

yes , usually only in a fab shop type setting with consistent results.

trying to mig weld a pipe joint with stuff in the way is a problem for field welding ,,along with wind and other issues.

but for fab shop work in pipe stands, it can be very productive
