Fitter / Welder (Woodland, WA)

We are seeking a Fitter Welder for our client company in Woodland, WA

Company in Woodland has an immediate need for a Fitter/ Welder. Position is an Evaluation to Hire position. Individual will be welding 20% Tig and 80% Mig on stainless steel and A36 carbon steel products. Qualified Candidate MUST have solid tig welding experience. Must be able to pass a weld test.

The company designs, manufactures and sells knife gate valves. The company can design and manufacture virtually any configuration of fabricated knife gate valve or slide gate valve. Requirements:

Must have at least 5 years experience welding which includes Tig and Mig, Journeyman Level.

Plans and produces metal forms or objects, or reconstructs damaged articles of various metals and alloys.

Utilizes hand tools, fixtures, jigs, and clamps for small welding jobs.

Cuts metal using a torch and following diagrams or sketches.

Accomplishes welding that fuses different metals and withstands great strength demands while avoiding distortion.

Regulates equipment as necessary for the work performed.

Will be working in a fabrication shop. Must be flexible to work swing shift if they decide to run this shift, company makes large valves for pulp mills.

Must have own transportation

Must be flexible to work day shift or swing shift

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen & criminal background check.
