How long does a ASME B31.3 certification last for?

I dont have that code in front of me but most welding codes have a provision for extended qualification if an auditable record is kept and there is recorded weld activity within every 6 mo period.

once you leave the company, its up the next employer if they accept that....most dont.

so the short answer is the cert ends with your employment unless the next employer wants to recognize it.
