Cutting Torch

In a pinch you can get a rough tungsten sharpening done with a cutting torch.

I have done it. It does work. but it turns the tungsten black. Once you light up and weld for a few seconds on a clean piece of scrap or copper, it turns silver again.
It glows really bright under a cutting torch so wear cutting goggles or shade 5 glasses.
Return to tungsten sharpeners.
