yes I think the only way to sharpen tungsten is with tungsten sharpener almost impossible by hand I created my own sharpener with a keyless chuck drill head and a piece of 3/8" pipe welded to back of chuck you can chuck
tungsten right in drill chuck and hold pipe and rotate on the grinding wheel works like a charm plus the pipe is
not only for control but also storage for multiple tungstens tap some coarse SAE threads in rear of pipe and easy access to all your sharpened tungstens so dont throw away those old cordless or electric drills take the chuck off its a hell of a tungsten sharpener.
