I have started my 6gr weld test

I have the root in but at the top left quarter of the weld my pipe fell down to were it did NOT have a 3/16 gap. I tried welding it anyway buy had to cut it out with the grinder...I took most my bevel out. Then I finished the pass. ALOT inside the pipe. The inspector said I could still pass it...how? What should I do? I have to be back n the morning to finish....idk what to do. Any advice? Plz help ASAP. Btw it is only a bend test no xray

Well, sorry for being late with this reply..

If the inspector will buy off the excess penetration, it might grind off for the bend coupons and be fine.
