Bandsaw Blades

Great Site!!! I know there are resistance welders specifically made for bandsaw blades and are built on to some bandsaws. Is it worth trying to TIG a blade? I can't locally find blades the size I need. Thanks...

I have welded many bandsaw blades .

its worth making a fixture with copper or argon backing.

the trick is to heat it with a torch after welding and slowly back the torch off .

Return to tig forum.
