brand name changing of welding consumables

dear sir,
here we are facing a problem in electrodes that,in our wps mentioning brand name of electrode is LINCOLN for aws spec5.1,classification6010,7018.but we want to change our electrode brand name to ATOMARC for the same spec and classification mentioned above.

is it possible without changing the wps.

In my opinion, you should avoid listing manufacturers brand names on a wps.

In my opinion, The wps should be changed and only the AWS specs should be used...either that, or add "or equivalent" following the brand name.

otherwise, there is potential for all kinds of confusion and problems during audits and inspections in the future.
