Open Butt Root Weld

I can't get my open butt root for nothing i'm running my wire speed at 175 and my amps at 15.5 i just can't get it for nothing any tips???

Uphill or downhill? plate or pipe? For now , I will assume its downhill plate..

For downhill, I would think that 17 volts and about 200 ipm would be more like it. Stay in the front of the puddle, and keep your gun angle constant
