regulator settings on 3500hd lincoln welder

i have a lincoln 3500hd 110v welder noticed after replacing my regulator and gas cylinder welds look dirty and have soot around them were before they were always clean and free of soot.was wondering if maybe my gas pressure is to low?

thats possible. its also possible that your gas is crapped up.

play around with regulator settings and if it cleans up , then the 2 regulators are either out of calibration or just wrong.

i have seen several of the cheaper style dial regulators be 30% or more off.

Also , it seems to me that small owners cylinders are more subject to be contaminated than rentals.

thats based on lots of emails from folks who got bad gas.
