suitcase problem

put positive and negative leads on backwards on my suitcase and welded for a bit will this effect my welder negatively?

shouldnt hurt anything. welding power sources are designed to be used on electrode positive as well as electrode negative.

swapping the leads is the normal way to change polarity on a lot of mig welding machines.

flux core wires typically...not always ..use electrode negative..

while bare wire mig uses electrode positive.
