Under cut on Cap 2g bevel plate

Having trouble with undercut on the cap an a 2g bevel plate test what do i need to do

generally, slowing down will help.

but sometimes welders are eager to weld that last bead and dont stop to let the plate cool a bit.

i am guilty of that too.

letting the plate cool just to where you can touch it , but its still hot, helps.

also , make sure to angle your gun upward about 20 degrees....and watch the top of the puddle and go slow enough to fill an undercut
