easiest way to clean slag AWS D1.1 SMAW 3G welding certification .

the easiest way i have found is with an air powered vibro peen tool.

if that is not allowed, a sharp chipping hammer drug along the toes of the weld or a rough file with teeth ground in one side.

dont peck with the chipping hammer, only scrape
