diameter range in welder qualification as per ASME SEC. 9

IS IT POSSIBLE AS PER ASME SEC 9 FOR A WELDER TO WELD 3/4 INCH PIPE DIA? IF HE IS QUALIFIED TO WELD 1 INCH PIPE.

Relying on memory is not a good idea for code issues...but
I am going to go strictly by memory here since I dont have time or inclination to dive into asme section IX.

I think no.

I believe the welders is only qualified to the smallest diameter tested.
