overhead mig welding drops in my helmet

While on my back under the car trying to mig weld, the molten metal drops down the wire and is impossible to do. I have always self taught for all other positions, but this one has me down. Will appreciate any help. Thanks Don.

a bit more wire speed and shorter wire stickout might help.

some say to turn the machine down for overhead, but I have found it works better for me to weld just as hot as flat...but keep it tight so the arc force will punch it in and flatten out.

also try for a straight gun angle with not much push or pull angle
