I have been in welding school full time for a little over a year now and have certifications in dualshield,innershield,7018,6010(light gauge), and just got my seismic/restricted access. I say this only so you know where I am coming from....I can weld, but have much to learn and am anxious to do so as I love welding!
Lincoln Electric let my school use one these simulators for at least a week, and while they may be of interest if you have never touched the real thing , nobody that i know really liked it. I do not want to bash lincoln, so I will leave it at that.

I am with you.

I think it will find limited use for culling those who dont have minimal hand eye coordination.
but other than that, it is just a video game.

thanks for the post,
