What certs cover other certs? like 6g covers 1-6g .

Just dont want to take 100 tests if i only need to take 50. lol

this could be a very long answer to be complete but i will keep it short .

6g covers all positions 1g 2g 3g 4g 5g in pipe as well as plate groove welds and fillet welds

a 3g and 4g plate covers all other positions in plate in addition to pipe over 24" in diameter (at least per aws d1.1)
