Why Even use a Gas Lens?

If you watched the short video directly above, I think you will agree with me that a gas lens can make a big difference as opposed to the standard cup that comes with most tig torches.

I assure you, its not a parlor trick. I tried to keep all the variables the same as far a stick out and amperage.

Once you get to a certain stick out , the gas lens out performs the standard cup...much shorter stick outs work better with standard cups but sometimes you absolutely need a longer stick out.
